Respectful of All Views

As past president of the Westbrook Council of Beaches (WCOB) over the last four years, I worked extensively with Tony Cozza on the council. I admire him tremendously and I encourage your readers to vote to keep him on Westbrook’s Board of Finance.

About every issue, including how the town spends our money, Tony asks the hard questions and considers the impact on everyone. Drawing on his business and engineering experience, he digs into the true costs and potentially negative consequences for any new funding request as well as its benefits. I also saw this on the WCOB, where Tony respected and listened to all points of view, considered every detail of any issue, insisted on civility, and worked for solutions that responded to the concerns of everyone on the council and in the town.

Tony also has deep compassion for others, as seen by his response to the problem of hunger among working families. He worked tirelessly to organize WCOB’s effort to donate food and money, and he went further. In response to the plight of needy children who lose school meals during the summer vacation, Tony led WCOB members to organize last summer’s new lunch program for children.

We are lucky to have someone on the Board of Finance who is respectful of all of our views and has the skills and dedication to serve so capably. I encourage your readers to join me in voting to keep Tony Cozza on the Board of Finance.
