Proven Management Skills

I’m a registered Democrat, but will vote for Fred Dudek, Republican candidate for Killingworth first selectman. It’s time for proactive, not reactive leadership.

Fred uses time effectively and efficiently. His proven management skills will guide Killingworth through uncertain state budget issues. Fred is against equalizing the mill rate, placing the burden of higher taxes on residents and sending our extra tax dollars to cities. Fred knows sharing equipment and purchasing power with other towns will save us money. We can and should share resources in these tough economic times.

Fred has proven he can get the job done. He was liaison for the Killingworth Emergency Management Building, which was completed in a timely manner and under budget. The barn located at Town Hall could offer valuable meeting space, but it sits vacant due to a lack of direction. Under his leadership, the building will become an asset to the town.

In 2012, residents defeated a Town Hall renovation plan. A loan was secured to fix the modular area and over two years of interest has been paid on the loan with no results. Fred will get repairs completed to the office space to last many years.

What we’ve come to value in Killingworth has evolved over decades. Fred has been an active participant. His volunteering resume includes Fire Department, Ambulance Association, and boards of Assessment Appeals, Finance, and Selectmen. Fred installed Helping Hands shelving and assists the historical society with projects. He has been involved with Parmelee Farm since the beginning, clearing brush, mowing grass, using his equipment to plow garden areas, working with local contractors to install power, and helping make it the jewel we all now enjoy.

Killingworth values—what we value in Killingworth is what Fred is about. I encourage your readers to vote for Fred!
