Objectivity and Fresh Perspective

My name is Jim Connolly. I am running on the Green Party line for a regular seat on Clinton’s Planning & Zoning Commission (PZC) because of my great concern about the broken, old-boy network that has controlled decision making in Clinton for far too long.

The results of the recent primary election indicate that the voters of Clinton are tired of business as usual in town government. Only a single incumbent candidate for Board of Selectmen remains on the ballot.

We need new hands and new eyes on Clinton’s PZC. The only commitment I have is to the wellbeing of the citizens of Clinton. I am not beholden to kingmakers in either the Republican or Democratic parties. I bring to the table my training as an attorney and my experience as a forensic psychologist as well as a steadfast commitment to bringing Clinton out of its current doldrums and into a new and prosperous era.

I can provide part of the objectivity and fresh perspective that is clearly needed to get the Town of Clinton moving once again toward sound planning and financial stability. I look forward to being part of the new group of public servants in Clinton who will look beyond old connections, commitments, and perspectives. I am ready to work with members of all parties and unaffiliated voters to advance the interests of our town.
