Enthusiasm and Energy

I’ve had the pleasure of serving on the Madison Zoning Board of Appeals with Ken Kaminsky. Ken is currently the vice chair of the Zoning Board of Appeals and a candidate for the Board of Finance. In Ken’s leadership role, he works closely with each member of the commission to thoughtfully consider each application and to balance the interests between property owners with hardships and the health and safety of town residents.

Ken’s financial background began at UConn as an economics and finance major. He went on to become a financial executive at Fortune 500 firms. Ken and his wife Sonia have raised two children in Madison and he has been an active member of the sports and volunteer communities in town.

As Madison faces financial challenges from shrinking state resources and educational changes, and looks to create new opportunities for economic development, Ken’s blend of private-sector financial experience and dedication to public service will help bolster the current Board of Finance team.

My family and I chose to move to Madison nearly four years ago because of its beauty, New England charm, and sound fiscal management. I previously served in the State Legislature for 14 years, and I clearly understand the financial obstacles and challenges that exist between state and local governments. Financial leadership and experience are extremely important to protect the town of Madison during these difficult times.

In his current position, I have seen Ken’s enthusiasm and energy and have no doubt that he will bring that same level of commitment to his new position, which will ensure that Madison remains financially healthy.

On Nov. 7, I encourage your readers to vote for Ken Kaminsky to become a member of the Board of Finance, which will expand on Madison’s progress and continue to move us forward.
