Calm and Controlled

For those of your readers who may know me, this may surprise them: There are times when you have to look outside the box for the best candidate out there, even if it means pulling away from the endorsed candidate of your party. I am voting for Anselmo Delia for probate judge.

Anselmo is my friend. I know that he will make a really good probate judge. He is calm and controlled, knowledgeable and forthcoming. No hidden agendas with him.

He and his delightful wife Katie moved to Clinton in 1987 with their two young children John and Kristen. They now have two grandsons and another grandchild is due—maybe on election day.

Anselmo has been very active in Clinton for much of his legal career. He has been chair of the Republican Town Committee, of a Charter Revision Commission, and most recently of the Planning & Zoning Commission. I will never forget the calm way he handled the propane gas debate a few years ago. Tempers were flaring, but Anselmo kept order throughout the hearing. He has also been on the Youth & Family Services Board, Economic Development Commission, and Board of Education, and served as a cubmaster.

I don’t want this to be all about what he has done. I just want everyone, if they do not know Anselmo, to read up on him. He is truly one of the finest men I know. Should he win the election, he will be very professional, yet always understanding the stress and sadness these families may be going through.

Clinton is lucky to have him in our midst and now we are willing to share him with the eight other towns. Anselmo is a kind man and in politics these days, that is rare, I encourage your readers to vote for Anselmo Delia!
