Brings Detailed Knowledge

I’m writing on behalf of Jack Scherban, who is running for a seat on the Board of Selectman (BOS) for the Town of Clinton. He is a man of great integrity and he brings a wealth of experience to the table. Jack is currently chairperson of the Board of Finance and serves on the Capital Expenditure Committee, the Bonding Committee, and the Police Pension Committee. A retired banker, he has worked tirelessly during the last two budgets to reduce expenditures while providing public works and education services to our townspeople. He will bring detailed knowledge of the town’s finances to the BOS.

Jack Scherban is also committed to attracting new business to Clinton while preserving the history of our shoreline community. He is a member of the Clinton Historical Society and feels strongly that the character of our town be preserved even as we move forward with economic development. Jack will work to increase the Grand List and alleviate the residential taxpayer burden while on the BOS, without losing the essence of our small New England town.

I further endorse Jack Scherban for BOS because of his unwavering support of the Clinton Public Schools. Good public schools attract business and new residents to town and provide a desirable quality of life for those who live here. Jack is married to a retired teacher and one of his grown children is an educator. He will promote the quality of education in Clinton on the BOS.

The Clinton Democratic Town Committee has presented a slate of candidates for the municipal elections with the expertise to move our town forward. I encourage your readers to vote for Jack Scherban, Row A, on election day this November!
