Will Work Collaboratively
As a former member of the Guilford Board of Education, I have a real understanding of the importance of electing Matt Hoey as the first selectman of Guilford on Nov. 7.
I have watched him lead the town through many financial challenges as we improved the physical condition of our elementary schools and Adams Middle School, and at the building of the new Guilford High School. Matt understands the importance of maintaining our school buildings as well as the quality of our educational system. Matt will listen to the other elected boards and support the budgets that are responsive to the needs of the students and adults in our community while being fiscally responsible to the taxpayer. He doesn’t have a preconceived number that he thinks is the magic number to present to the voters, but will work collaboratively with those that know first hand the needs of our town.
I also appreciate the leadership of Matt that lead to the bipartisan support of the Senior Tax Freeze program that allow many senior like myself to stay in their homes here in town.
So if your readers are happy with the quality of the educational system here in town and appreciate the quality of life in Guilford, I encourage them to join me in voting for Matt Hoey for first selectman on Nov. 7.
