Unique Background and Experiences

I’m writing in support of Matt Parthasarthy for Madison Board of Education. Matt and his wife Jennifer have lived in Madison since 2006 and have two children in our public schools. Matt is passionate about our public school system and will work to ensure that every child gets an exceptional education taught by inspiring teachers in a safe school environment.

When I first met Matt, I was immediately impressed with his intelligence, sincerity, and congenial manner. As a Fortune 100 company division general manager with a master’s degree in business administration and a former United States Naval officer, Matt brings a unique perspective to the table. He is a pragmatic, disciplined, straight-shooter who is able to think outside the box while also approaching complex problems with compassion and sensitivity. He listens first and weighs all the facts before making suggestions or proposing solutions, and his business background has instilled in him an appreciation for fiscal balance.

Matt has already taken it upon himself to be involved in town government and activities. He currently serves on the Planning & Zoning Commission, is vice chair of the Madison Democratic Town Committee, and has previously coached Little League baseball and served on the vestry of St. Andrew’s Church.

I believe that Matt’s unique background and experiences will enhance the board’s ability to find new solutions to the challenges it currently faces including the declining school population and aging elementary school buildings.

Our municipal elections are an important means through which we ensure that the town’s vision and path forward represent all of us. Our town benefits when highly qualified individuals like Matt come forward and volunteer to work in our government. I encourage Madison residents to vote on Nov. 7 and to vote for Matt Parthasarthy for Board of Education.
