The Answer Is Clear

This is the time of year when we start to ask ourselves, “Which candidate should I vote for?” Our decision is usually based on a number of factors. Some of the questions we ask ourselves are: Who has the most experience? Who has shown they have the ability to do the job? Who shows compassion in their work?

As I ponder these questions and others, I have to say that, for me, Matt Hoey is the first candidate I think of. Matt has served Guilford for a number of years in many capacities. He has volunteered for numerous activities, most notably as chairman of the Board of Finance. He has shown his ability to work with others to solve problems and he has shown compassion to all the people he deals with.

The other candidate who stands out is Lou Federici. Lou has similar qualifications. He also has served Guilford most notably on the Zoning Board of Appeals and Board of Finance. Lou proved himself to be a good listener, which enabled him to make decisions that were good for at the town.

Third, Sandy Ruoff also stands out. Sandy has served Guilford well rising through the ranks of the Guilford Library to become its director. Not only does she provide us with an outstanding library, she has also volunteered her time in numerous town activities, including the Guilford Rotary.

So, for me the answer is clear. Matt Hoey, Lou Federici, and Sandy Ruoff would be excellent selectmen for our town.
