We’ve all seen the commercial on TV, “We know a thing or two because we’ve seen a thing or two.” That’s true of the Republican slate of candidates for Board of Education (BOE).

Jessica Bowler is an associate director of procurement at Pfizer, has four years of experience on the BOE, and is familiar with the studies on the school upgrade.

Kirk Barneby is a portfolio manager who understands the ins and outs of bonding and financing, which is crucial as we work to resolve the school building issues that we face.

Violet McNerney, a 20-year resident of the town and parent of four children who passed through our schools, is a school psychologist in Region 4 and clearly understands the issues that schools face with children who face difficulties and the state mandates for dealing with them.

The balance of skills, talent, and experience will improve our BOE as we work through the financial and building issues over the coming years.
