Professional Experience and Training

Elizabeth Tucker is a fourth-generation library employee. She began volunteering at the Henry Carter Hull Library (HCHL) in Clinton at 14, and after receiving a B.S. in French from UConn and master of library science from SCSU in 2014, she became the adult programming librarian at the HCHL. There, she expanded and strengthened library ties with the larger Clinton community and wrote grants that provided new technology purchases.

She and her husband fell in love with and moved to Chester in 2012 and have a two-year-old daughter.

As a candidate for the Chester Library Board of Trustees, Elizabeth would bring a wealth of professional experience and training as well as a fresh outlook to a library. She believes in the future of libraries as they continue to adapt to changes in technology and information consumption. She is enthusiastic, talented, and interested in helping Chester’s library meet the needs of our community,

Chester has one of the longest ballots in the state, so I encourage your readers to continue to the end and vote for Elizabeth Tucker, a most deserving and qualified candidate.
