Demonstrated Leadership Abilities

I’m writing in support of Jean Ferris as a selectman candidate. Although Jean is running unopposed, her background, experience, and previous contributions to our community illustrate her qualifications.

Jean has demonstrated her leadership abilities when she served as president of both the Rotary Club of Madison and Madison Chamber of Commerce. She also served on the boards of Madison ABC and Friends of Madison Youth. She learned the inner workings of the town as co-chair of the Charter Review Committee.

Jean’s previous career experience includes more than 30 years in the financial services field. She served on the board of directors of both the Community Investment Corporation and Community Economic Development Fund. These credentials provide her with a keen sensibility toward fiscal responsibility.

Finally, although I’ve known Jean for more than 20 years, you’ll feel as though you’ve know her for the same amount of time upon your first meeting. Her warmth and caring are apparent immediately. I hope your readers have the chance soon to say “Hello,” and thank her in advance for her next role in helping Madison become a better place to live, work, and raise a family.
