Aware of the Bigger Picture
I write today in support of Erica Gelven, who is running for Clinton Board of Education (BOE). Erica was one of the first people I met when my family moved from the Boston area to Clinton more than 11 years ago. One of our very first conversations in the Country Nursery School parking lot revolved around education.
Over the years, as our paths have crossed and our friendship has grown, I have come to know Erica’s strong moral compass and her commitment to both our town’s priorities and the needs of our students. She consistently follows through on promises, whether they are personal or professional. If she doesn’t know the reason for something, she will investigate, find an answer, and follow-up. As I have watched Erica and her husband raising their two daughters, it is obvious that she is aware of the bigger picture and the impact we can make.
While on the advisory board of Clinton Youth & Family Services, and most recently her position with the BOE, she has worked to foster positive community connections by engaging residents and parents in meaningful dialog, and in more recent years engaging in informative and respectful social media efforts.
I encourage Clinton voters to choose Erica Gelven for BOE.
