A Mix of Experience

Four years on the Guilford Board of Education and five-plus years on the Guilford Economic Development Commission have taught me several things relevant to the upcoming election. Having served on the Board of Education with Susan Renner, I can attest to her keen intellect, sound judgment, and dedication to serving the people of Guilford.

Another thing my experience has taught me is that boards and commissions function best when they have a mix of experienced members and new blood. Of the six people running for selectman, only Charles Havrda can bring relevant experience as a selectman to the newly elected board. I have worked closely with Charles on the Guilford economic development effort. His judgment has always been sound, his knowledge of how Guilford government works has been impressive, and his desire to make Guilford a better place was always apparent.

I strongly urge my fellow citizens to support Charles Havrda and Sue Renner for election to the Guilford Board of Selectmen.
