Years of Thoughtful Dedication

Twenty-one years. That’s a commendable stretch in any era, but especially in today’s world of transient occupation. For 21 years, David Carrol has been the presence of Clinton’s Transfer Station, greeting and directing thousands upon thousands of citizens every week, regardless of their particular deposition that day.

Managing the logistics of the town transfer station is no cake-walk; there are dozens of things happening simultaneously, and orchestrating it smoothly, despite weather conditions and personality types, is an exercise in heavy equipment operations, customer service, management, and psychotherapy. David has answered the call for more than two decades and his responsibilities are soon to shift to another part of the town’s operations.

On behalf of the Town of Clinton, I’d like to thank David for his years of thoughtful dedication to the transfer station and making it an enjoyable experience. We thank him and wish him good luck in his new position and duties; we look forward to seeing him around town.
