Very Fiscally Sound

Noel Bishop is a great choice, regardless of party! Every few years we have a privilege as Americans to select leadership that best represents our ideals. This year on Nov. 7, we will go to the polls and choose a first selectman in Westbrook. As a traditional Democrat, I would normally vote the party line, but this year I plan to support the Republican incumbent Noel Bishop.

Over the past several years, I have come to respect and admire the work that Noel has done for the Town of Westbrook. My decision to support Noel is based on both qualitative and quantitative data. The factors that I considered were our high-performing schools, low unemployment and crime rates, and the exceptional quality of life in our small town. I am also very pleased that despite the uncertain state budget, that Westbrook’s mill rate continues to remain relatively low and we are very fiscally sound compared to the towns of our size; this is because we depend less on state and federal aid.

I like the trend that Noel has established and therefore, he gets this Dem’s vote.
