Up for that Challenge

This is a watershed moment for Madison Public Schools. The district is still challenged by its long-term facilities plan and uniting a community that has been divided by the recent failed referendum.

As a member of the Board of Education, Emily Rosenthal would be an excellent choice to help navigate these rough waters. Emily is an invested member of the community, having served as president of Madison Newcomers Club as well as a member of the Beach & Recreation Commission. She has children enrolled in the public school system and has been an involved and engaged citizen in Board of Education, Board of Finance, and Board of Selectman meetings as well as the superintendent’s Information Sessions for the last year while the district tackled its long-term facilities plan.

Emily will bring a level-headed, thoughtful, and community-based approach to the Board of Education and the challenges that it faces at this time. Moreover I believe that Emily will work diligently to unite the community at a time when some may feel underrepresented, unheard, and devalued. In the coming years, the Board of Education, Madison Public Schools, and the town of Madison will need to make some tough choices. I am 100 percent confident that Emily is up for that challenge and encourage your readers to vote for her for the Board of Education on Nov. 7.
