The Necessary Background and Experience

I have had the pleasure and honor to work professionally with Attorney Jeannine Lewis for the past 11 years. I worked with her most recently in a local law firm where I was employed as a paralegal. Prior to that, I was the judge of probate for the District of Westbrook for 16 years until the consolidation of the Probate Court System in 2010.

As a probate judge, I found Attorney Lewis to be well informed about the issues before the court as well as articulate and professional in her presentation at hearings. Jeannine is truly an excellent candidate for judge of probate. Not only is she well versed in probate law, but she has also shared her knowledge with other legal professionals to assure that new law is researched, understood, and properly practiced. Her expertise in elder law, estate planning, decedent’s estates, and protection of the mentally, intellectually, and physically disabled, will prove to be a valuable asset to the nine towns currently being served by the District 33 Probate Court located in Old Saybrook.

A compassionate volunteer at the Shoreline Soup Kitchen, Jeannine Lewis has all the necessary background and experience to become an outstanding public servant. I encourage your readers to remember to vote for her on Nov. 7 in the municipal election.
