Possesses the Expertise

Having already endorsed a first selectman candidate, I write in support of the following Democrats in the upcoming Nov. 7 election. Each candidate has consistently demonstrated a commitment to public service and possesses the expertise needed to keep Guilford the wonderful place it is.

Board of Selectmen candidates Lou Federici and Sandy Ruoff are both dedicated to our town. Lou has served on the Board of Finance and Sandy directed the Guilford Free Library for decades. Combined, they know how our government works from the inside, and they’ll be an asset to the Board of Selectmen.

For the Board of Finance, incumbent Ken Gamerman and Veronica Wallace are both highly qualified to oversee Guilford’s finances. Ken has served for more than 20 years on the board and Veronica was an impactful member of both the Board of Selectmen and the Shellfish Commission.

Moira Rader and Mary Best will bring new leadership to the Board of Education. Active in their PTA, they are champions of our school system and work hard to make sure all our children have the best education possible. And finally, Arnold Skretta will be a fair and deliberative member of our Board of Assessment Appeals.

This group of fine individuals who have dedicated their efforts to maintaining our fiscal health, our extraordinary education system, and our unique quality of life here in Guilford are the best choice on Nov. 7. I encourage Guilford voters to support them on election day.
