Open-Door Policy

On Nov. 7, I will be voting for First Selectman Carl Fortuna, Selectman Scott Giegerich, and Treasurer Bob Fish. I am relatively new to Old Saybrook, but very familiar with town governments in Connecticut. I have participated in several public meetings and have to say I am pleased with not only the financials in Old Saybrook, but the tone of the conversation.

As a citizen, I feel very well informed and know that when I have a question it will be answered. I have walked in to Town Hall several times and have enjoyed the open-door policy that exists with the first selectman. In addition to all this, Old Saybrook has, I believe, improved its downtown significantly with the multiple projects that are now nearing completion. Our downtown is great and getting better. Now we just need the State of Connecticut to get out of the way!

I encourage your readers to vote for Carl, Bob, and Scott on Nov. 7.
