I am writing to support Sally Buemi for the Board of Selectmen. I’ve known Sally for 40 years. She is a good person, she works hard, and she cares about the town.

I’ve been watching the Board of Selectmen meetings on TV for four years, and Sally is always prepared, and she offers good ideas and suggestions. She also goes to the finance meetings and tries to keep taxes down, which is important to me as a retired person.

Some people didn’t like Sally’s position on the crumb rubber fields. Many years ago, I was a captain of the North Haven football team. I think synthetic turf is dangerous and needs lots of maintenance. Many pro teams went back to natural grass, especially in baseball. Sally wanted to wait for the results of the government study on crumb rubber and then decide on the fields. That seemed reasonable to me.

I also like that Sally writes a newspaper column to let the people know what’s going on. And I liked what she did for the World War II veterans in the parade two years ago. I encourage your readers to vote for Sally.
