Experience is Important

I have always felt Old Saybrook is a magical town that offers so much to so many people. An important reason why Old Saybrook stays ahead of other towns in Connecticut is its management by First Selectman Carl Fortuna and his team.

I feel honored to have been endorsed by the Republican Town Committee to run for the Zoning Board of Appeals and become part of that team. During my career I have interacted with land use professionals in many towns in Connecticut as well as serving on a ZBA for more than 10 years. This experience is important because I can see the perspective of the applicant as well as respecting the town and its regulations.

This is a time of financial disaster in the state and many local communities. Results have been a massive loss of funds to cities and towns, but we still enjoy one of the lowest mill rates in Connecticut.

I respectfully ask for your readers’ vote of confidence on Nov. 7 for myself and the entire Old Saybrook Republican team.
