Candor and Inquisitive Nature

Rene Shippee is a lifelong Connecticut resident and a graduate of the Old Saybrook School system and the University of Connecticut. She is the manager of Root’s Automotive Repair, a locally owned and operated family business.

Rene comes from a large family of siblings and nieces and nephews, loves Old Saybrook, and is interested in its future. Rene actively and consistently attends town board and commission meetings. Rene’s experience managing a business has honed her skills of making every dollar count and she will bring that experience with her as a police commissioner.

Rene is the sole female representative seeking a position on the Police Commission and it is important to maintain this diversity on such an important public service. Rene’s candor and inquisitive nature and her ability to articulate her thought in a simple manner will be an asset to this commission.

I believe Renee is the right person at the right time to serve on this commission and I encourage your readers to join me, voting for Renee Shippee and Frank Glowski for Police Commission on Nov. 7.
