Astute, Honest, and Engaged

I strongly encourage all the voters of Guilford who care about our town’s future to vote for Matt Hoey for first selectman and Lou Federici and Sandy Ruoff for the Board of Selectmen.

Matt and Lou have served with distinction on the Board of Finance a combined 38 years. They have been prudent and fair each year as they work with the rest of the Board of Finance and balance the needs of our Guilford residents with fiscal responsibility. They have the experience of many years of budget and tax considerations. With the fiscal problems at the state level this year, this is not the time to have a new person learning on the job.

Sandra Ruoff is another dedicated Guilford civil servant who has the leadership record and experience of having been the director of the fabulous Guilford Free Library for 30 years. She has also been recognized for her leadership by being on the boards of directors of Guilford businesses and organizations.

I have known Lou and Sandy on a personal and professional level for many years. They are astute, honest, and engaged individuals, just the type of elected officials we need to lead Guilford into the future!

We need selectmen who have the experience and leadership that comes with more than 68 years of combined service to the citizens of Guilford. I encourage your readers to vote on Tuesday, Nov. 7 for Matt Hoey for first selectman and Lou Federici and Sandy Ruoff for the Board of Selectmen.
