Ability to Foster Teamwork

I have known Carol Conklin, Democratic incumbent candidate for re-election to the Town of Old Saybrook Board of Selectman, for more that 10 years.

Carol is an energetic community volunteer and a hardworking public servant. In addition to actively participating in Board of Selectmen meetings, Carol attends numerous other public and civic meetings to learn more about issues important to Old Saybrook residents and businesses. She is always available to hear residents one-on-one questions and concerns. Carol still finds time to serve as chair of the Economic Development Commission.

When Carol served as the registrar of voters, I was fortunate to work with her as deputy registrar. I remain impressed with her ability to determine the most effective ways to organize and deliver town services. Carol has also consistently demonstrated her ability to foster teamwork and work across party lines to deliver excellent outcomes for Old Saybrook.

I encourage your readers to keep Carol Conklin working for Old Saybrook by voting for her on Nov. 7.
