A Vision for the Future

Local elections in Connecticut are taking on greater significance than ever before as the state’s finances deteriorate, and communities must shoulder ever more responsibilities for their destinies. Old Saybrook is no exception. We no longer can count on state or federal support in dealing with big issues that affect all of us, including protecting our shorelines from rising sea levels, waste management, crime, and drug abuse. We need to elect effective leaders with not only a vision for the future of our community, but also the values that will inspire current and future generations to protect the beauty and quality of life in Old Saybrook and its surrounds.

No one fits those requirements better than Frank Keeney, who is on the slate for the Police Commission. We have had the privilege of knowing Frank for many decades. As a life-long resident, Frank has been active in community affairs for most of his adult life. His leadership qualities are too long to list, but include a strong sense of fiscal responsibility, a strong work ethic, and an outstanding ability to build respectful and inclusive relationships.

Old Saybrook has been the center of Frank’s life, and he has demonstrated the willingness and ability to serve everyone in the community and not just the few. We wholeheartedly support his candidacy and encourage residents to vote for him.
