Town on the Move

This year brings another election for first selectman, selectman, and treasurer. My choice on Nov. 7 will be Carl Fortuna, Scott Giegerich, and Bob Fish. These three have combined to keep Old Saybrook an awesome place to live.

I moved here about 10 years ago and find this town to always be on the move. The projects that have been done in town—the re-build of the town beach pavilion, the reconstruction of North Main Street, the $7.5 million of dredging for North Cove (with state funds), and especially by making our town more energy by installing all LED streetlights, just to name a few—have all improved the quality of life for our residents. Using state and federal grants where possible and spending our tax dollars wisely has led Old Saybrook to be the best place to live in Connecticut.

I encourage your readers to join me in voting for Carl, Scott, and Bob on Nov. 7.
