Slow our Spending Habits
Ken MacKenzie understands the people and character in Guilford. Our family, and many people we know, have one major focus for our next first selectman. That is: to put a halt to the thinking that automatic spending increases every single year is a given. It is a fact that town spending increased by 65 percent under the leadership of Matt Hoey from 2002-2015. This is not OK.
If you watch the Board of Finance meetings on YouTube, you will see MacKenzie as the voice persistently arguing for more town efficiencies. Now more than ever, with our state budget in limbo, we need a first selectman with the ideas to slow down our spending habits. I hope your readers will support Ken MacKenzie for first selectman.
