Passionate, Dedicated, and Very Good

I have lived in Guilford for 31 years and am very glad to have made this decision for many reasons, one of which is the quality and performance of our selectmen, Board of Education, and hundreds of volunteers who devote many hours to various boards and committees.

I have voted for candidates in both parties. At this time I feel that the best choice would be Matt Hoey, Sandy Ruoff, and Lou Federici. There is always the cry to stop the tax rate increase and hold the line, which some candidates pledge to do. How many of us homeowners have been able to do this? Inflation is hear to stay and the expenses to operate our town and schools and meet changing needs and conditions never stops.

The total budget for the town is $95,188,169; 61 percent of this is to operate our outstanding school system, rated among the top systems in Connecticut, at a cost well below other similar towns.

I think the above veteran team, whom I have known personally for years, is the best choice to maintain the difficult balance between quality and cost. They are passionate, dedicated, and very good at whatever they do! I encourage your readers to give them their support and vote.
