Demonstrated Good Works

Like many residents of Killingworth, my family and I moved here from somewhere else. What we found was a close-knit community that offered something for its residents of all ages.

Our first selectman, Cathy Iino, who is seeking a fifth term, has initiated and supported programs that reflect this ideal, from Sheldon Park, which provides an outdoor space that serves all ages, to supporting Parmelee Farm, where community oriented events are held, to senior lunches, to raising income cut-offs for senior tax relief, to keeping the town budget under control.

Some here in town have alluded to Killingworth as a swamp that needs draining. In my 16 years living here, I’ve seen no evidence of a swamp. No swamp here! Instead I’ve seen dedicated individuals who serve at all levels of town governance to residents who volunteer their time and talent keeping Killingworth on a sure footing and solid ground. I encourage your readers to vote for Cathy Iino for first selectman and Lou Annino, Jr., for selectman so that they can continue their demonstrated good works that benefit all town residents.
