The major change Garbe proposes is keeping the clerk’s office open until 6 p.m. a couple of nights a week. That would be a welcome convenience for working taxpayers and residents. Our votes can make it happen.
As an appraiser, Carl Garbe has worked in several area towns. His experiences give him valuable understanding of the importance of having vital records accessible, while being safely maintained.
Garbe is a certified elections moderator. Also, his background in mechanics has been utilized to help keep our voting machines in peak working condition. Today, more than ever before, we are aware of the need to keep elections in Old Saybrook safe and fair for all voters.
Carl Garbe is a good person. He has my vote. I encourage your readers to join me in electing him on Nov. 7—remember, absentee ballots will be available before Election Day for those who need them.
