A Sound Economic Footing

As each party moves towards the November 2017 election, it is absolute1y necessary that as voters we keep in mind to keep spending and budgets under control in order to maintain a good financial footing to correct our economic ills. I’m hopeful that as the coming year goes on we will see effective controls on budgets and budget reduction and spending back within its means.

These should be our concerns: Reducing taxes without reducing needed services—we do not want to see a depletion of our rainy day fund that was restored to a level of more than $9 million by our present administration. Reducing spending and taxes will allow residents to save, to put money aside for children’s education, health care, etc., and allow entrepreneurs to put these savings back into their business.

Ken MacKenzie’s core values are to reduce spending, control budgets, and to keep Guilford on a sound economic and financial footing. Ken as been a stalwart in this battle against fiscal insanity. Let us not go backwards. I encourage your readers to vote for Ken MacKenzie and his team.
