Trust, Respect, and Courtesy

“Where there’s a Gill, there’s a way” is the motto of Roberta Gill-Brooks’s campaign for the position of Branford tax collector.

Roberta is a daughter of Dorothy and Robert Gill, who is respected and well-known for his exemplary 44-year service with the Branford Police Department, including nine years as its chief.

A lifelong Branford resident, Roberta attended its schools, as have her sons. She has long contributed to our town by volunteering for her church, for the Branford Festival, for the Martin Luther King Jr. Annual Breakfast committee, and as a board member of the Branford Early Childhood Collaborative.

Employed for 31 years by SNET/SBC/AT&T, Roberta rose to the position of executive service manager, where her multi-million-dollar accounts included Major League Baseball, Fuji Photofilm, Hasbro, and UIL Holdings.

At AT&T, Roberta was known for her excellent customer service, customer relations, and communications skills. She looks forward to applying those skills in her future role as Branford tax collector.

Roberta would like voters to know that she will strive to uphold the high standards and to earn the level of trust, respect, and courtesy maintained by her predecessor, JoAnne Cleary.
