Stands by his Word

I have lived in Guilford for the past 33-plus years. During that time I have the privilege to get to know Matt Hoey on several levels.

First of all, he has impressed me with his leadership and service on the Board of Finance. These are difficult times financially and it seems that Guilford has navigated those waters quite well.

Second, although a dedicated public servant and someone holding a full time professional position, he has always found the time for family, particularly being there to support his children as they grew and moved on.

Finally, in all my personal dealings with the man, he has been honest, direct, supportive, cooperative, and someone who stands by his word.

I will be voting for Matt Hoey for first selectman, for all the reasons listed above.
