An Experienced Civic Leader

Old Saybrook residents are fortunate to have a number of talented elected officials and volunteers in town positions. This Nov. 7 we have the opportunity to strengthen our Old Saybrook leadership by voting for Steve Sheehan for first selectman.

As an attorney for 28 years, Steve has sharpened his knowledge of local, state, and federal laws. More important, he has used this experience to understand people’s everyday concerns.

He has developed extensive first hand understanding of Old Saybrook issues by serving as an elected member of the Board of Tax Review and the Zoning Board of Appeals and appointee to the Pension and Benefits Board.

Steve has broadened his community knowledge by providing pro bono legal work for non-profit organizations. Also, he has served on the Board of Directors for the Old Saybrook Education Fund working to provide education enrichment activities for our students, Teri Brodeur Breast Cancer Society raising funds for cancer research, YMCA Camp Hazen, Exchange Club, and the Old Saybrook Little League.

Steve Sheehan has established a reputation for being a thoughtful listener, an intelligent problem solver, and an experienced civic leader who is dedicated to Old Saybrook residents. He is certainly ready to assume the responsibilities of first selectman.

I encourage your readers to get out to vote on Nov. 7 for this exceptional candidate, Steve Sheehan.
