Refused to Step Away

I write in support of Democratic candidates Lynn Pinder and Willie Fritz. Both candidates have served the town for more than 20 combined years; after having lost two years ago the duo never ceased to be involved.

Lynn Pinder having served on the Board of Selectman for multiple years knows to work together with both parties and already has knowledge of what is going on in the town. She has a law firm in town, which gives her an advantage when it comes to the knowledge of laws in town. I have known Lynn for many years—her daughter babysat me when I was little and her family has always attended town functions. Despite losing two years ago and being removed from the Democratic Town Committee, Lynn as well as Willie have refused to step away from the town.

Willie Fritz held the office of the first selectman for a decade, during which time he navigated the town through the worst economy in decades while also improving the infrastructure and appeal of the town. He created a gorgeous area behind Town Hall to watch the sunset over the river, paved numerous roads that were near unfit to drive on, and his greatest accomplishment was bringing a new high school to town. While working on the Board of Selectman, he breaks through party lines, having what’s best for the town always on his mind. The positions these candidates are running for are tough and face a lot of scrutiny, but there’s no doubt in my mind that if there are two people who can handle it, it’s Lynn Pinder and Willie Fritz.

I encourage your readers to vote Row B on Sept. 12 with what’s best for Clinton in mind.
