Integrity, Transparency, and Success

In the Tuesday, Sept. 12 primary, I encourage Clinton Democrats to make voting the priority of the day by marking their calendars, positioning a Post-It on their steering wheels, and setting a reminder on their phones. This primary is crucial for the future of our town.

I wholeheartedly support Christine Goupil for first selectman. I have worked with Christine for the past four years on community outreach projects. What impresses me is that when making decisions, she seeks input from stakeholders and experts alike, as evidenced by her work on the Town Plan of Conservation and Development. She will use that information to assure that our boards, commissions, and town departments work together seamlessly, bringing efficiency and a shared common purpose to benefit not only our residents, but also people who want to bring business to Clinton.

Christine Goupil doesn’t have a Lone Ranger style of management. Rather, the force is with her: she brings together talented people to form a team that insures integrity, transparency, and success. With Tim Guerra, who will put his business management experience to work for Clinton, and Jack Scherban, whose background in finance brings immeasurable expertise, Christine Goupil and the endorsed Democratic ticket will make Clinton the jewel of the shoreline.

I encourage your readers to vote Line A on Sept. 12.
