Experience, Skills, and Temperament

I’m writing in strong support of Christine Goupil and Tim Guerra in the Sept. 12 Democratic party primary. Based on my years of working with each of them on the Planning & Zoning Commission, I know that they will provide excellent service to the Town of Clinton. Each of these individuals have clearly demonstrated a strong commitment to the Town of Clinton.

Christine, who is the party-endorsed candidate for first selectman, worked tirelessly on the commission and was the leader for the Planning Committee of the commission for almost all of her time in that position. As such, she has extensive knowledge of the new Town Plan of Conservation and Development as well as a strong commitment to its implementation.

Tim, who is a party-endorsed candidate for the Board of Selectmen, served in multiple roles on the commission. Particularly relevant to the role as a selectman was his work developing a system for evaluating the staff and outside resources used by the commission. This was a difficult and delicate task that Tim handled with professionalism and tact.

It is clear to me that Christine and Tim have the experience, skills, and temperament to be excellent representatives of our town. I encourage your readers to vote for them in the Sept. 12 primary.
