Will Get the Word Out

My family has been in East Haven for three years now on Bradley Street. It is a great north-south artery in town that is tucked away from heavily traveled North High and Laurel streets. However, we seem to get more than our share of speeders.

With no sidewalks, kids and dog walkers are forced onto the street. Instead of another endless appeal to drivers to slow down (which never works), I’d like to see the police set up a radar trap once in a while to catch some of these irresponsible drivers. Hit these people in the wallet. It will get the word out. That’s a lot better than those drivers hitting kids, dogs, and the walkers.

By the way, as a daily dog walker, my thanks to the many drivers who do slow down and move over.
