Tireless and Selfless Volunteer

I am a former member of the Clinton Board of Finance (BOF) and I want your readers to know that I will be voting for Leah Saunders on Sept. 12. My friend and former colleague, Leah Saunders, is seeking re-election to the BOF after inexplicably not being endorsed by the Democratic Town Committee. In response to being overlooked by [BOF Chair] Jack Scherban and the nominating committee, Leah successfully petitioned for a spot in the primary. This simple fact illustrates Leah’s dedication to our town.

Leah has been a staunch and zealous supporter of every-thing Clinton for years! As a Democratic incumbent on the BOF, there is no one with more knowledge or experience at that table, especially now that the chairman is seeking election to the Board of Selectmen. It can’t be overstated how important it is for our community to have a finance board member who actually has children attending the Clinton schools and the time to attend virtually every meeting that was held in the last four years.

Leah will show up. Leah has been and will continue to be a tireless and selfless volunteer who supports education, the Department of Public Works, emergency services, the Henry Carter Hull Library, diversifying our tax base, economic development, and controlled infrastructure spending. Leah has done a good job in a tough financial climate for the last four years and she has earned the privilege to be re-elected by us to represent our community’s best interests.

I encourage your readers to join me on Sept. 12 and vote for Leah Saunders. She is our voice on the Board of Finance.
