Something new is available to the North Haven community. The Democratic Town Committee recently launched the Meet the Candidates program on North Haven Community Television (NHTV). Over the next three months, the program will cover a series of interviews with the North Haven Democratic candidates running for municipal offices this fall.

I just watched the Aug. 3 interview with Alan Sturtz, who is running for first selectman, and was impressed with his professional background and thoughtful interview answers. Mr. Sturtz has a research background and is adept at gathering and analyzing data useful for strategic planning. The interview demonstrated that Mr. Sturtz possesses both the personality and knowledge necessary to successfully oversee a growing municipality.
