Such a Caring Community

This is a long-overdue letter of thanks and gratitude to the North Madison Volunteer Fire Department, Police Department, EMS, and our neighbors of Princess Drive.

On April 8, a beautiful spring evening, our home was being destroyed by a fire. While it seemed like an eternity waiting for the Fire Department, the volunteers were there quickly and working hard to put out the blaze. While many were working to contain and stop the fire, some were very thoughtful and considerate of personal belongings and removed objects to a safe place—I also thank them for that. I also want to thank our wonderful neighbors, some of whom I do not know, for offering my husband and me anything we might need including staying at their home.

We are looking forward to being back in our home very soon and we are so grateful to live in such a caring community.
