Strong, Talented Leadership

I don’t usually write these kinds of letters, but Clinton is my hometown. I am 10th generation. My parents grew up here, I went to school here and my children went to school here, and I and my sons family still live here. I’m on the board of our family organization, The Kelsey Kindred. I am a member of the American Legion Auxiliary; I belong to the Episcopal Church. I am invested here and I care too much to not say anything.

We know hard times are not coming to Clinton, they are here. My old employer, Ponds, used to help support the town through taxes and donations. It is so sad to see that building empty. For more than five years we’ve heard somebody was going to move in and take over that property and pay more taxes. I want to see something be made from it.

In the same vein, where is the new tenant for the old Morgan high school? I’m not looking forward to the traffic, but at least a contract might guarantee the town some real money?

My point is that we need new strong, talented leadership to run our town government. That’s why I am definitely voting for Christine Goupil, Tim Guerra, and Jack Scherban, a great group of people who can represent me on the Board of Selectmen.

I hope my fellow members and friends of the American Legion, the Episcopal Church of the Holy Advent, and family members of the Kelsey Kindred will join me and back these good people on Sept. 12 at the primary. We need to get our town in new hands.
