The Right to Cast a Vote

I haven’t decided yet whether or not I support adding the position of a town manager, but I believe that, as a Clinton taxpayer, I have the right to cast a vote. After all the hours, research, work of the Charter Revision Commission, its recommendations deserve a town wide referendum. The decision should not be left solely to the Board of Selectmen. This should be the case for any Charter Revision recommendations, but particularly for one with a direct impact on the Board of Selectmen itself.

I hope that the selectmen will reconsider their action and put the issue to a town vote.
