Disheartening and Enlightening

The joining of parishes in our East Haven community is a little disheartening and also enlightening. The struggles of Catholic parishes to sustain, has grown over the last years, but our merger brings forth a new opportunity to grow in spirit and allows us to travel new avenues to a greater immersion in community.

For many who have been away from celebration and receiving the Eucharist, today is a fresh start. I encourage all to reenter the church, which is waiting with open arms to all who pass by.
