Started with a Dream

It started with a dream and now it is a reality! Feed Branford Kids goal is “no child will go hungry on the weekends” in our town. It began with food backpacks for only 20 children and now has gone to more than 200 each week. This is done by an amazing group of volunteers, but needs the support of our community to make it all possible.

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all the organizations and individuals that have contributed to this goal. Some of them are Branford Lions, Branford Elks, Branford town merchants, Lynn’s Deli, Possessions, Onofrio’s Total Construction, and the Kamran Farid Foundation. I’m also thankful for all the private donations, food donated at food drives, local churches, and monetary gifts given in honor of or in memory of and to all donors I may have missed.

It takes a village to raise a child. Branford is that village and I thank all the people who come together to make this a better place to live. I thank them and our children thank them.
