Showcase Coastal Beauty

It was great to see such a large and supportive crowd at the Clinton Library on Feb. 27 to hear Carrie Allen and the Bike & Pedestrian Alliance of Clinton (BPAC) present their vision of a proposed new Clinton Greenway running from the town line of Madison to town line of Westbrook.

The proposed route for Phase I overwhelmingly traverses local public roads, town property, and Clinton Land Conservation Trust land, with brief stretches on Main Street for river crossings and one small section requiring an easement.

The project will be funded by private donations and not with taxpayer money. This plan is aligned with the 2015 Town Plan of Conservation and Development and is expected to showcase our town’s coastal beauty as well as encourage people to bike and walk more.
