Terrific and Memorable Event

This past Saturday, Jan. 28, fencing teams from all over the state competed in the annual Novice Tournament held at Guilford High School (GHS). Novice fencers who are used to cheering on their teammates got to experience the thrill of having their teams excitedly cheer them on as they fenced. It was a full day event that covered both gyms at GHS and required the work of many volunteers to pull off.

As the parent of a novice fencer, I want to thank coaches Kyle Mezzi and Carl Balestracci, Matthew Catino of Fencers School of Connecticut, the GHS Fencing Boosters, and the many parent volunteers who put this terrific and memorable event together. Thanks go to all for all of their hard work.
