Committed to Welcoming

The Temple Beth Tikvah Board of Directors and clergy strongly support efforts to resettle refugees in our community. We are proud sponsors of a Syrian refugee family and have just committed to welcoming a second refugee family, working hand-in-hand with Christians, Jews, and Muslims in our community.

Members of our own congregation came to the United States as immigrants and refugees, able to start a new life as Americans. Closing the door to families fleeing strife and seeking peace and freedom, based solely on their national origin and religion, is contrary to our country’s basic principles and to the ideals we subscribe to as Americans and Jews. The leadership at Temple Beth Tikvah is committed to the principles of welcoming and inclusion for all people who desire to contribute positively to the promise of America.
