Clearly Said ‘No’

At the Jan. 5 Workshop of the Guilford Board of Selectmen, I just watched each of the five members clearly say “No” to the Shoreline Greenway Trail’s misguided $840,055 proposal for the Route 1 section.

Our first selectman, Joseph Mazza, also confirmed that the majority of the already-approved state and federal funding for pedestrian access will still be available for use by the Town of Guilford to serve pedestrian needs on the east side of town.

I would like to thank the selectmen for stopping this ill-advised plan.

The official vote will be held at the Board of Selectmen meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 2:30 p.m.
